The Introductory Video

The gospel was preached before to Abraham saying, “in thee all nations will be blessed” (Gal 3:8). This gospel is our salvation and the same one we preach, for there is no other gospel. We are told

“Thou hast given an ensign (Hebrew: nes) to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth.” (Psa 60:4).

There is an imperative implied in the words of Isaiah lift up an ensign over the peoples.

Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the earth: say ye to the daughter of Zion: ‘Behold, thy salvation comes; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.’ (Isaiah 62:6-11)

If the nations wish to deny the prophets and revile God’s witnesses, who will stand by the Jews who believe the words of the Prophets as precious, to encourage them? We know from the scriptures that as a witness to us, and the nations, they being gathered, as Ezekiel wrote to be one nation on the mountains of Israel

Open Letter to UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office

To the Foreign & Commonwealth Office,

This year is 100 years since the miraculous charge of the Light Horse Brigade on Beersheva, which was a turning point in the war again the Ottomans. This theatre of war only began due to the God-Willed machination of Hans Von Wangenheim in bringing the Turkish Ottoman Empire into the war.

It is no co-incidence that the success at Beersheva was given by God at the time of the British government’s adoption of what is called the Balfour Declaration.

The great success in the Middle East in 1917-1918 was so Britain could do God’s will there.

When instead Britain began blocking Jews, there was no success for Britain from then on. If not for the Americans, WW2 would have been a failure for Britain, and Britain descended into a post war misery in the shadow of America and Europe for 70 years.

Yet Deputy UN Ambassador Jonathan Allen said, on behalf of Britain, “Let us remember, there are 2 halves of #Balfour, 2nd of which has not been fulfilled. There is unfinished business”

When the Declaration was made the territory was not defined. More than half of what Britain could give was actually given by Britain to Arabs.

DID BRITAIN officially at all at any time after 1922 show plainly they viewed
“with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people.” ??

Did Britain live up to their word?

In 1939
“May 25: Senator Harry S. Truman inserts in the Congressional Record strong criticism of the British White Paper on Palestine, saying it is a dishonorable repudiation by Britain of her obligations.

Where was Britain when Jews wished to form a state? Where was Britain on the list of those recognizing Israel as ‘the home for Jews’ they were ‘in favour of’? Up there with the powers USA and USSR? It wasn’t until 13th May 1949, which puts Britain way down the list, between Mexico and Belgium over 50th in line!

Perfidious Albion?

It was written,

For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted (separate, divide partition off) my land. (Joel 3:1-2)

Britain was first to divide part off in 1922 to create Trans-Jordan. It’s not hidden. Britain then sought to divide Israel again in 1947 in the “Partition plan”. Britain is sill speaking 2 states, when there is Gaza.

Britain fulfilled and is inciting the nations to fulfill Joel, so all nations will be brought to the valley outside Jerusalem on the Mountains of Israel where the God of Israel will Roar Judgement and Plead for Israel.

Will you be on the side of God, as Balfour? or with the enemies of God?

It is a choice between successful life and death,

Yours faithfully,

NEW- Work to help young French Jewish Refugees at Sde Bar

We were asked if the work at Masuot Yitzhak was to help children by a Recorder. We had thought we were finished, but I asked if there was anything yet to be done. Well it so happened that hot off the press was a NEW work as result of the events in France! – For late teens.

It’s a sunny Shabbat day. A young boy is walking home from the synagogue, and is attacked as he passes through the alleyways of Nice in southern France. His life is saved by passers-by. That boy was me – Natan Ben-Elbaz. Right then I decided to do something. I made Aliya, alone, at the age of 14. Today I am among the founders of the Tikva-Pro program for French immigrant Jewish youth at risk in Israel.

The Tikva-Pro program
In the wake of recent terror attacks in Paris and Toulouse, and of rising levels of antisemitism throughout France, there has been a steep rise in Aliya from France. Among the immigrants are hundreds of Jewish youth who arrive in Israel alone, do not speak Hebrew, and have not acquired the skills needed to build their lives in Israel.

Our solution, Tikva-Pro, is an absorption program tailored specifically to the needs of French immigrants. It is housed in the community of Sde-Bar in Gush Etzion, located just 10 minutes away from Jerusalem. The community’s 40 families are committed to “adopting” the program, providing a pleasant and homely atmosphere for the youth.

Tikva-Pro helps hundreds of French Jewish youth (aged 17-24) at risk, to overcome their personal challenges and to become productive fully integrated Israeli citzens.
The program includes:
• Development of a sense of capability and responsibility
• Occupational training, including construction, computers, agriculture and more.
• Instruction in Hebrew and exposure to Jewish and Israeli heritage.

Progress in Construction

Due to the time of the winter or ‘former rains’ they have anticpated our fund raising to put on a roof. The time of Passover is the time of the latter rains. In Israel winter rain can be heavy and so there is not much building done. As you can see from the photos there are puddles.

Ahav is love in Hebrew
Ahav and love sound similar. Love(d) is also ahava. Hebrew scholars place emphasis on the first occurrence of a word in the Hebrew Bible. The very first occurrence of the precise word for love as on the keyring is,

And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved (ahava) her. And Isaac was comforted for his mother. (Gen 24:67)

We can then understand what is asked of us in the very next occurrence,

And now, Israel, what does the LORD thy God require of you, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all His ways, and to love (ahava) Him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul; (Deu. 10:12)

The first occurrence of the word ahava was associated with Isaac, linking it to the work at Isaac’s beacons, Masuo’ot Yitzhak, on the path of the Patriarchs where the locals identify with Abraham’s journey to the offering of Isaac.

This design began as an immensely popular card design by the American Robert Indiana capturing the essential of Christianity. It was made into large rusted steel (corten) sculptures and it was featured in a few American cities including Philadelphia. In 1978 the word was commissioned as a public sculpture in Hebrew, as a gift to the Israel Museum, to express love for Israel.

Some other interesting points: We launch this, with a design from 1978, at Chanukah, the Feast of Dedication or Feast of Lights (even beacons?) which is related to the Maccabeans who, as Daniel was told, would “be strong and do exploits” (Daniel 11:32)
Modi’in was Founded in 1978. It is “Located in the Foothills of the Judean Hills midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Modi’in is the ancient hometown of the Hasmoneans, or Maccabeans, that ousted the Syrian-Greek overlords from the Land of Israel in the 2nd century BCE. The revolt began under the military leadership of Judah Maccabee and is the basis for the holiday of Hanukah.” see

Shall Isarel be scattered or sent to the Wilderness again?

There has been concern raised by one Recording Brother in the UK that Israel will be scattered again based on Ezekiel 20:35-6. In context, the whole world will be affected shortly by events, even the isles shall not escape (Ezekiel 39:6). Despite knowing of the soon to be seen global effect of the earthquake of Zechariah 14, we as a body, still build new halls, schools and aged care facilities and our members new houses.  This work is for today, and until our Lord comes.

Yet there is a point. The prophecy of the scripture is given to a number of prophets and those words had relevant points for the different times they were given. This means we have to piece them together. Typically we do better at that once they are fulfilled. But there is no harm in trying to put them together to understand the multi-dimensional events. Each of us may piece them together differently, and like the Bereans we welcome feedback.

The bee keeper and a fruitful land

This excerpt below is from a newly released video of the Holy Land from 1913 made for the 11th Zionist congress. It was a showcase of Jewish success. It showed a winery then, they spent some time filming bee keepers making honey. Why is it that a huge bunch of grapes proved the Promised Land was one flowing with milk and honey? And how might a Christadelpian have helped the Jewish wine industry?
